Thank You For Making
The 25th Anniversary Orleans Garden Tour
Such A Success
|
Saturday, June 22, marked the 25th year that Orleans homeowners graciously opened their gardens for the annual Garden Tour sponsored by the Orleans Improvement Association (OIA). Five hundred ticket holders visited six gardens where artists were capturing each garden’s special features.
The success of the OIA Garden Tour depends on generous support from the Orleans community -- the homeowners, various Town departments, the restaurants and merchants that offered discounts and an army of enthusiastic volunteers. An example of that community support is the article by Stephanie Foster with her accompanying beautiful photographs in the June 14 issue of The Cape Codder.
Artists associated with Rowley Gallery and Addison Gallery painted in the gardens. Their art was featured at the receptions each gallery held following the tour. Sue Keller, Orleans resident and award-winning pianist, played in one of the gardens.
OIA is grateful to all who helped with our premier event whose proceeds support projects that continue to make Orleans attractive to residents and visitors alike.
